Never Been Ready

Received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Well, wow! This is such an amazing read that I finished it up in one night. Oh how I wish for more!

This is Declan and Leah's story. It started as a one time thing but it's the start of their forever...

It was a sweet, hot and fun story. You can tell from the beginning that they clicked. Their chemistry was not forced and their story naturally progressed.Their story didn't make me cry (unlike the first book) but it sure made me laugh!

LEAH

I am 100% happy that Leah was not a whiny, annoying, i-wish-never-to-read-again kind of heroine. She was funny, smart and (from the mental image i have of her) she's hot!

DECLAN

Okay, I have a thing for those Hollywood, reformed bad boy type. And Declan definitely fit the bill. He was crazy about Leah but in an endearing way.

I hope to read more from the Ready series and I wish I'm right with my haunch who the next story will be. *cross fingers*

Again, thank you Jennifer in allowing me to read and review your work. I had a blast reading it!

<b>Would I recommend this book? 101% YES!</b>

Hope Entangles

3 STARS

Received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

First, I just want to get this out of my chest "Not another cliffy! Nooooo!" There, I said it.

This picked up where it ended on the first book. Hope betrayed Jake and she's wallowing and (for me) over thinking it.

[HOPE]
She's still the funny, weird and endearing girl from the firs book. She's still rockin' the Hello Kitty stuff.

She's pining over Jake and I just wish they had more interaction than just the last scene of the book. Then she got herself into some of the weirdest situations that, for me, lacks the back up story it needs. Like [when Jake's sister and mother confronted her. I mean I didn't get why they did that? Jake is old enough and strong enough to fight his own battles. Then her mother came just for it to end by Hope walking out on them. I didn't get that. Sorry.

[JAKE]

Well I'm glad we got his POV in this book! I love dual POVs! Well, we didn't see much of him except on those rare occasions where he is "stalking" Hope which is weird but made me awww... (please don't judge me) because he cant stay away from her.

[RAPHAEL]
Then we met the new, sexy, genius neighbor!

In the beginning I'm not sure how he will play a part in Hope's life but he's arrogantly sweet, Mother Theresa-like neighbor. I liked him! I wish I have a neighbor just like him!!! He can bake! Oh good heavens! Give me some Raff!!!

The most entertaining part of this read didn't come until the last few chapters and I wish there was more of that all throughout the book. I got bored on the first 2/3 of the book. But I'm still looking forward to the last part of Hope's story!

Geekus Interruptus

3.5 STARS

Got an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

When I checked my mail I got a message from Mickey asking for me to review her work. I gladly accepted and I she didn't disappoint. Though it was a short read, I enjoyed it.

This is a story about a Marcy and Jess who's having some marital issues. Marcy thought of a way to "solve" their problem in a rather spy-ish way.

MARCY

Marcy has an appetite for wild, hot, all-night-long rump in the sack before she met Jess, now she's a faithful wife. She devised a plan to catch her husband in the act and to bring their relationship to an end or mend it.

JESS

There are somethings I'm not really into with; I didn't expect it to be such a short read. The story itself was just four chapters short, I thought it would be a little longer. I wish the situation with <spoiler>the chess and Ian, the Russian guy was dealt with more. I just felt that it was half baked execution.</spoiler>

Mickey, thank you for the opportunity to read and review your work. Good luck in your career!

Neanderthal Seeks Human

4 STARS

It's a lovely, quirky, funny story. It felt like Quinn and Janie were meant to be. Their story progressed naturally, it wasn't forced. I liked how Ms. Reid wrote their story.

JANIE

She's extremely quirky! She has all these trivia for everything, as in everything! I loved that about her. She's used to labeling everything around her, from her feelings, her things and even her relationships. She's a bit close close minded on some things but eventually she overcame it and learned to compromise with Quinn.

QUINN

Oh... Mr. McHotpants! You are h-o-t-t hot! I loved that he indulged Janie with all her  crazy ramblings, her labels and her theories.

This is one of the books I've read that doesn't have explicit sexy time. Hahaha. But I enjoyed reading it. And I liked Quinn's geeky text messages to Janie.

There are some things that made me iffy with this book, like the non-ending use of dually or hawk-ish terms. I don't know why but it irks me out. Also, Janie's confidence issues, I just want her to move on with her issues. Their conflict was so short it kinda made me feel a little wanting more, this also goes with the action scene.

But over all I liked the book.

Would I recommend this book? Ohhhh yes!

Watershed (Love Where You Roam #1)

FIVE STARS!!!

*Got an ARC in exchange for an honest review.*

OMG! I cant believe I finished this book in just a few hours! I loved their story!

"What is for you wont pass you by."

I loved that both characters are like two puzzles that fit together. They complement each other.

GRAY
At first I though Gray would be the annoying brooding male lead but I was glad that's not entirely the case. I loved that he felt hexed by Maggie, I dunno why.

MAGGIE
I loved that Maggie went out of her shell to find herself and her soulmate (Soulmate: that's my word for the day. Haha.)

Okay, I would like to say that there should be a sequel to Maggie and Gray's story. There, I said it.

Would I recommend this book? Hells yes!!!

Black Heart (Cursed Hearts, #1)

Five Stars

OMG! I loved this book! This is my first paranormal/romance book and i friggin' loved it! I have no regrets picking up this book.

Okay... To the story. It was funny. I loved Tristan's human family's interaction. They were close and with that closeness comes all the unadulterated bashing of each other. His ghostly family is funny too. They just made me laugh til the end!

MARTY
She's sweet in her own violent way and when I was reading this book I kept on craving apple pie! Argh! I cant help but love how she fought for what she want and what she deserve.

TRISTAN
Oh Tristan... You're broody yet hilarious. I cant help but love you. However, I wasnt into how he's pushed Marty away. Tsk tsk tsk.

I cant wait for Shayne's story to come out!

Would I recommend this book? Oh hells YES!
